TTG CE2 Stage

TTG CE2 Stage creates embed pages – containers – for various types of content, including Web video and Flash image galleries, or may be used on its own to create extra site pages, Before-and-After retouch comparisons or a handful of HTML gallery types. Such pages may be designed in a style consistent with your existing TTG website, and offer methods of making all embedded content – including Flash image galleries – accessible to popular mobile devices such as the iPhone, iPad and Android phones. Built on the Core Elements 2 framework, TTG CE2 Stage also includes robust customization options for page layout and design, support for PHPlugins extensibility features and more.

TTG CE2 Stage …

  • allows you to personalize your Flash image galleries with site branding, navigation and more.
  • makes Flash galleries accessible to mobile phones and other mobile devices.
  • supports video display on desktop computers and mobile phones.
  • works seamlessly with gallery indexes created with TTG CE2 Pages and TTG CE2 Auto Index.
  • features robust visual customization options as a part of The Turning Gate’s Core Elements 2 series of releases.
  • allows the creation of password protected image gallery and video pages.
  • supports extensive user customization via PHPlugins.

TTG CE2 Stage currently supports Airtight Interactive’s SimpleViewer, AutoViewer and PostcardViewer, as well as MonoSlideshow, FlashNifties, SlideShow Pro, DIMIN Slideshow and the Lightroom Flash Gallery.

The included TTG mobile gallery integration allows all of these Flash image galleries to be displayed on the iPhone and other mobile devices.

TTG Stage CE may also be used to display video from YouTube and Vimeo, or hosted on your web server using the HTML5 video protocol. All embed methods support playback in modern web browsers, degrade gracefully in older browsers, and support playback on mobile devices such as the iPhone.

With all of these features and myriad customization options, TTG CE2 Stage CE is the definitive tool for Lightroom users to display media on the web.

System Requirements

TTG CE2 Stage is a plug-in for Adobe Lightroom's Web module, requiring Lightroom 3.0 or greater for both Mac and Windows operating systems.

Hosting Requirements

Exported content should be published to the web, and requires a domain and web hosting. Galleries published as HTML should run in all environments, though select features (password protection, Facebook integration, PHPlugins, etc.) require a web server running PHP 5.2.6 or greater.

We recommend hosts running Linux OS and Apache web server. Need hosting?

By installing any purchased or downloaded web engine, plugin or template from The Turning Gate (TTG), You, the user, agree to the End User License Agreement. Server Setup

In order to use HTML5 video embedding, some easy server configuration is required, allowing files to be served with the correct MIME types. This is a one-time setup for each domain, and does NOT need to be repeated when creating new galleries for your site. You will need a text-editor and an FTP client. If you are unfamiliar with File Transfer Protocol or FTP clients, please read my tutorial An Introduction to FTP: Putting Your Stuff Online .

At the root of your domain, create a .htaccess file or edit the existing .htaccess file to include the following:

AddType video/ogg .ogv
AddType video/mp4 .mp4
AddType video/webm .webm

SetEnvIfNoCase Request_URI \.(og[gav]|mp4|m4a|webm)$ no-gzip dont-vary

The .htaccess file may be invisible when viewing your server contents. In your FTP preferences, ensure the FTP client is setup to show hidden files.
